Job Summary

Lead software engineering projects within Mastercard’s Enterprise Information Management program, driving data governance, metadata management, and data integration capabilities. Oversee day-to-day development, align with cross-functional teams (Data Architecture, Business & Application teams), evaluate new technologies, and ensure SLA adherence. Develop strategic technical plans, author architecture proposals, and guide PoCs while delivering high-quality, cloud-ready Java-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities to meet SLAs; guide major projects with broad scope and long-term implications
•Collaborate with Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Business teams to understand data assets and define data lineage and business glossary definitions
•Develop strategic technical plans and architecture proposals; create solution definitions and lead design and implementation of technical solutions
•Evaluate current and upcoming technologies; perform PoCs and guide technology roadmaps and vendor/solution selection
•Ensure compliance with defined standards and integrate audit/compliance requirements into SDLC; represent team in audits

Key Requirements

•Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; 8-10 years IT experience with at least 3-4 years as a tech lead
•Expert knowledge in relational and NoSQL storage technologies
•Expert knowledge with integration solutions for ETL, messaging, and API service integration
•Expert knowledge of SQL and shell scripting
•Experience implementing RESTful APIs and 12-factor applications; strong data management and governance understanding
