Job Summary

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot process control instrumentation to support optimum production efficiency in a cement plant. Install and service equipment such as flow meters, thermocouples, RTDs, transmitters, drives (DC/AC/VFD), emissions analyzers, PLCs, generators, feeders, transformers, and plant systems. Keep instrument logbooks, ensure process data is recorded and archived, follow plant safety guidelines, and perform both indoor shop and outdoor plant maintenance with periodic on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
•Install, maintain, and calibrate process control and instrumentation equipment, including flow meters, sensors (thermocouples, RTDs), transmitters, drives, weigh feeders, and emissions analyzers.
•Calibrate and maintain emissions analyzers per service manuals and regulatory permit requirements.
•Maintain instrument logbooks and ensure process control data is recorded, backed up, and archived.
•Perform maintenance on existing instrument equipment and perform new instrumentation construction installations (including operating mobile equipment).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent, with two years of college/technical school/service training in instrumentation and electronic technology or four years of related instrumentation technician experience.
•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs, with willingness to learn (training provided).
•Knowledge of electronics and basic operating systems software (Microsoft Server, Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office), process analyzers, and electrical controls.
•Ability to read operating manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
•Good English communication skills (written and interpersonal) and an excellent work and safety record.
