Job Summary

Join WSP’s Roads team as a Senior Engineer (Roads) based in London with opportunities to work across Cambridge, Basingstoke, Guildford and Southampton offices. You’ll prepare designs and specifications under the DM RB (DMRB), develop highway schemes using AutoCAD Civil3D and PDS, and lead design packages while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-profile highway projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare designs and specifications in accordance with DM RB (DMRB).
•Deliver work packages and manage highway schemes, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and project managers.
•Provide design input for pricing, proposals and cost estimation, and support project managers throughout the design phase.
•Mentor and upskill junior engineers and technicians to deliver work packages and progress toward professional qualifications.
•Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver highways projects across the London and South East region.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
•Experience with Highways design and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, PDS Signs and PDS Lines
•Develop designs and specifications in accordance with DMRB; prepare cost estimates and pricing for project briefs
•Ability to mentor graduate engineers and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver schemes
