Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft and design components, assemblies, and enclosures for Trane control products, including managing documentation.
  • •Create electronic components and develop designs and documentation using Creo and CAD/PLM tools, including supporting documentation across systems and applications.
  • •Support PLM change control processes.
  • •Collaborate with electrical engineers, PCB designers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams to capture design intent.
  • •Translate verbal and written instructions into CAD drawings/models of HVAC control products and adhere to company safety and security policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Drafting, or related field, or 4+ years of experience using a computer-aided design solution in lieu of degree.
  • •Experience with Creo (preferred), SolidWorks, Inventor, or ProEngineer.
  • •Experience with PLM systems (Windchill and/or TeamCenter preferred).
  • •Ability to create conceptual sketches and 2D/3D engineering drawings, assemblies, and engineering computations.
  • •Familiarity with design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes.
