Key Responsibilities

  • •Function as a leader on an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices, leading code reviews, and automated testing.
  • •Design and develop high-availability, low-latency distributed system capabilities for a next-generation distributed transaction platform.
  • •Perform complex subsystem design and implementation, including prototypes, coding assignments, and detailed design work.
  • •Debug software components, identify defects, and remediate issues in production environments.
  • •Collaborate with peer technology and scrum teams across locations, build POCs to experiment with technologies/databases/infrastructure, and drive team strategy and prioritization.

Key Requirements

  • •Computer Science / Information Systems degree (or equivalent) plus 12+ years of professional work experience.
  • •Strong implementation experience with object-oriented languages such as C/C++, Java, or Go (Java preferred).
  • •Hands-on experience building distributed microservice systems and familiarity with service mesh frameworks (Envoy, Linkerd, Istio) plus gRPC/Protobuf.
  • •Experience designing and building cloud-native applications, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • •Experience with distributed system management and monitoring/tracing (Zipkin/Jaeger, ELK, Grafana/Prometheus) and low-latency NoSQL/messaging systems (e.g., Redis, Kafka, Couchbase, Cassandra).
