Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare Protection & Control engineering designs for HV/EHV substations.
  • •Develop Protection & Control deliverables including SLDs, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.
  • •Design protection relay/control/annunciation/metering panels and RTU/SCADA interfaces; develop relay settings philosophy.
  • •Perform protection coordination and review relay configurations; complete engineering calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop, battery sizing where applicable).
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review vendor drawings, ensure compliance with standards, and support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and technical issue resolution.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in HV/EHV substation protection & control design.
  • •Knowledge of protection schemes for Transmission & Distribution substations.
  • •Experience with protection relays from Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi Energy, Schneider Electric, or SEL.
  • •Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; CDAE qualification is highly desirable.
