Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead commissioning and retro-commissioning activities, including planning, coordinating, testing, and validating building systems to applicable codes, standards, rules, and permits.
  • •Collect and analyze site observations, surveys, drawings, schematics, and technical data to support energy audits, validation, and commissioning.
  • •Develop and oversee system configurations, testing specifications, readiness plans, checklists, punch lists, and cost estimates with owners, clients, design disciplines, and subconsultants.
  • •Own commissioning deliverables from project inception through concept development, design, procurement, integration, installation, turnover, and operation.
  • •Lead cross-functional teams across mid-sized or multiple concurrent projects, including accountability for budgets, schedules, technical calculations, compliance records, and regulatory analyses; mentor and guide entry- and mid-level staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent education and relevant industry experience).
  • •Seven or more years of post-education experience, including demonstrated building and systems commissioning experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of building commissioning principles, practices, and their application in project-specific challenges.
  • •Experience with building planning, design, construction, installation management, renovations, and new construction.
  • •Proficiency with technical writing, office productivity software/spreadsheets, and discipline-specific design software including AutoCAD and Revit.
