Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop conceptual and detailed designs for drill rig structural design and other heavy engineering/mining product components.
  • •Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet functionality, safety, and manufacturability requirements.
  • •Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, including weldments, sheet metal components, and assembly drawings.
  • •Manage product lifecycle and engineering release processes using PLM/PDM systems, including revision control.
  • •Coordinate cross-functional collaboration for system integration and maintain compliance with operating procedures to deliver high-quality outputs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • •5 to 8 years of hands-on CAD design experience, preferably for heavy engineering or mining products.
  • •Proficiency in Creo and SolidWorks CAD software.
  • •Knowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly methodologies, including weldments and assembly drawings.
  • •Working knowledge of GD&T standards and tolerance analysis (tolerance stack-ups).
