Key Responsibilities

  • •Interface across Global Supply Base Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Base Management, and suppliers to ensure expected quality levels for products/piece parts.
  • •Represent Global Supply Base Quality Engineering on cross-functional teams to ensure new product releases meet expected quality levels and timing.
  • •Formulate, organize, and manage continuous improvement projects to improve supplier efficiency, reduce product complexity, improve quality/reliability, and impact product cost.
  • •Manage supplier technology development aligned to Dell’s technology roadmap, including Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and action closure.
  • •Perform supplier audits and monitor supplier/product quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • •Rationalize strategic direction into meaningful actions; strong written and verbal communication.
  • •In-depth understanding of basic engineering principles and operational command of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • •Experience across multiple commodities such as power shelves, racks, and direct liquid cooling.
  • •Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Thermal (desirable).
