Job Summary

Work on structural civil engineering projects for the Oil, Gas and New Energies (OGNE) business, based in Bogotá. You’ll lead work groups and provide technical support for architectural and structural design development, ensuring quality, required safety, and compliance with applicable national and international codes and client specifications. Develop structural deliverables such as design criteria, calculations, structural plans, foundations, and support designs, including field visits and technical proposal support.

Key Responsibilities

•Comply with corporate and local company policies and align with corporate values.
•Define or review the discipline scope with the client when required and lead work teams during project execution to deliver contracted engineering deliverables.
•Develop structural deliverables including design bases and criteria, specifications, calculation memos, structural drawings, equipment foundations, pipe supports, cable trays, and related structural designs.
•Analyze inputs from topographic surveys, geotechnical studies, and hydraulic studies used in designs.
•Ensure designs follow applicable codes and standards (NSR-10, RAS, API, ASTM, OSHA), participate in technical bids, and support early-phase project planning (e.g., PDT and mobilization plan) including field visits.

Key Requirements

•8 to 15 years of specific experience in engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector, as a structural civil engineer or related field.
•Ability to lead work groups and provide technical support for architectural and structural design development on assigned projects.
•Ensure design quality and required project safety throughout delivery.
•Manage tools including SAP, STAAD, and Idea statica.
•Use and apply relevant national and international engineering codes and standards (including NSR-10, RAS, API, ASTM, and OSHA).
