Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform ground operations around asphalt plants, including greasing equipment, general labor, routine maintenance, and equipment servicing.
  • •Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment and use appropriate communication/hand signals when backing.
  • •Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with required documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • •Assist with daily plant operations and upkeep, including assisting with training less-experienced employees on equipment operations and repair.
  • •Perform welding and fabrication duties as required and detect safety hazards or equipment malfunctions, responding accordingly.

Key Requirements

  • •Work in a team environment and follow directions from the Asphalt Plant Foreman for daily tasks and expectations.
  • •Safely operate heavy equipment (e.g., bob cat, skid steer, man lift, water truck, haul truck) and report problems to your manager.
  • •Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment, including using ladders to access platforms and landings, and assist with upkeep of the plant.
  • •Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment, including wearing PPE and adhering to handbook safety requirements.
  • •Have a high school diploma or GED, pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check, and be able to provide valid I-9 documentation.
