Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and develop Sola, enabling mainframe assets to be exposed as REST/SOAP APIs.
  • •Design and work with backend API systems, including how services are designed, secured, and exposed.
  • •Collaborate in an agile development process and deliver improvements to a mission-critical product.
  • •Continuously learn and apply mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL) as part of the role’s growth track.
  • •Support customers as needed, including resolving issues that require time-critical attention and participating in on-call/off-hours rotation.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • •Strong foundation in Java and API technologies, including designing, securing, and exposing RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • •Experience with API management gateways (e.g., Akana, Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong) and governed, gateway-managed APIs.
  • •Knowledge of data stores and databases including DB2, Oracle, MS SQL, and/or MySQL, plus SQL/NoSQL experience.
  • •Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and willingness to specialize in mainframe/legacy systems (COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL) as a long-term direction.
