Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement fraud and credit risk strategies in the decision systems production ecosystem in consultation with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • •Extend testing and validation support for decision system changes and resolve production incidents using root-cause analysis.
  • •Optimize decision systems using new tools/frameworks and support rollout of future-state decision systems across HSBC markets.
  • •Provide management information for operational monitoring and ensure adherence to governance processes across the decision systems delivery lifecycle.
  • •Develop cost-effective code, manage automation of repetitive programming, and maintain generated programs/queries for medium-to-high complexity strategies.

Key Requirements

  • •3–6 years of work experience in Fraud & Credit Lending landscape, with exposure to banking analytics or related business/finance experience.
  • •Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • •Experience with vendor decisioning or analytics products (e.g., Experian Power Curve, SAS Intelligent Decisioning, SAS Viya, Porvenir).
  • •Strong background working with large-scale data, data management, data quality, visualization, dashboard design, and regulatory/compliance matters.
  • •Excellent coding, testing, and mentoring skills, including familiarity with SAS, SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery (Bigdata, GitHub desirable).
