Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end tax compliance and IFRS tax reporting for HSBC Mexico, ensuring governance and risk management.
  • •Design, establish, and maintain SOX-compliant controls across tax processes and coordinate across departments.
  • •Drive efficiency and automation in tax compliance processes and champion continuous improvement of tax workflows.
  • •Provide expert tax advisory on daily operations and support strategic projects such as M&A, corporate restructuring, and entity rationalization.
  • •Oversee tax reporting for external audits, including Current and Deferred Taxes and ETR, and manage regulator interactions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics (required)
  • •Master’s Degree in Taxes, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • •10+ years of experience in Tax Compliance and Reporting, ideally in multinational companies
  • •Solid technical knowledge in local and international tax advisory, compliance, and IFRS tax accounting
  • •Experience at a Big Four firm (preferred) and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across functions
