Job Summary

Lead highway design projects within a multidisciplinary team, delivering detailed highway and drainage solutions for public and private infrastructure. Manage multi-project design delivery, client liaison, and budgeting while mentoring engineers to build technical capability. Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and BIM/CDE workflows to produce construction drawings and support planning applications in a global mining/infrastructure context.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical delivery of highway design and infrastructure projects, ensuring budgets, schedules, and technical standards are met
•Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians to develop skills and performance
•Coordinate with internal clients and design teams across offices to deliver projects on time and to budget
•Prepare and review fee proposals and provide financial control for projects as package project manager
•Oversee project planning, concept studies, and progression to planning applications or construction drawings

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with substantial design experience (12+ years for graduates, 10+ years for postgraduates)
•Chartered Engineer status or near-chartership with international professional bodies (ICE, CIHT, etc.) or equivalent international qualifications
•Proven experience in highway and development infrastructure design (pavement, alignment, drainage, utilities)
•Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for modelling and complex design tasks (junctions, earthworks, parking, etc.)
•Experience leading technical delivery, multi-project teams, and budgeting/financial oversight
