Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver design solutions and construction drawings for mining roads, junctions, and haul roads across Australia mining projects (including NPI and haul road schemes).
  • •Play an active role in the design process and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • •Act as a technical and tool specialist, developing and applying advanced engineering concepts to unique highway/road design problems.
  • •Lead technical delivery and manage multi-project teams, including mentoring, supporting, and training engineers and technicians.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered to budget, program, and technical standards while meeting QA, CDM, Sustainability, and HSE requirements; support planning applications and manage resource/project activities, including fee proposal and financial control when acting as package project manager.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or post graduate degree in Civil Engineering with at least 12 years of design experience (10 years for post graduate).
  • •Preference for Chartered Engineer (or nearing completion) with international professional institutions such as ICE and CIHT or equivalent international qualification.
  • •Substantial post graduate (or equivalent) experience with Chartered status (CEng, MICE, MIHT, or MCIWEM) or equivalent international qualification or commercial experience and responsibility.
  • •Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and experience in highway and/or drainage design and wide knowledge of the development industry.
  • •Experience in reviewing design drawings/models and ensuring compliance with standards.
