Key Responsibilities

  • •Patrol and monitor an assigned interstate segment for stranded motorists, roadway deficiencies, obstructions, and site-distance issues that may cause lane blockage.
  • •Assist stranded motorists professionally and courteously with common situations such as dead batteries, running out of gas, and flat tires.
  • •Monitor, report, and document roadway deficiencies to dispatch or district offices.
  • •Maintain compliance with federal, state, and municipal laws, rules, and ordinances while maintaining a clean driving record.
  • •Provide roadside support as needed, including fuel delivery, battery boosts, and minor first aid until more advanced medical personnel arrive.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or GED) or 1 year of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
  • •Be at least 18 years old and able to drive an AECOM-provided vehicle to patrol interstate roadway.
  • •Hold a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record with no license suspension in the last 5 years.
  • •Pass state and federal criminal history/security and motor vehicle background checks, and complete pre-employment and random drug screening.
  • •Possess or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and demonstrate working knowledge of basic automotive repair.
