Key Responsibilities

•Patrol and monitor an assigned interstate segment for stranded motorists, roadway deficiencies, obstructions, and site-distance issues that may cause lane blockage.
•Assist stranded motorists professionally and courteously with common situations such as dead batteries, running out of gas, and flat tires.
•Monitor, report, and document roadway deficiencies to dispatch or district offices.
•Maintain compliance with federal, state, and municipal laws, rules, and ordinances while maintaining a clean driving record.
•Provide roadside support as needed, including fuel delivery, battery boosts, and minor first aid until more advanced medical personnel arrive.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or GED) or 1 year of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
•Be at least 18 years old and able to drive an AECOM-provided vehicle to patrol interstate roadway.
•Hold a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record with no license suspension in the last 5 years.
•Pass state and federal criminal history/security and motor vehicle background checks, and complete pre-employment and random drug screening.
•Possess or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and demonstrate working knowledge of basic automotive repair.
