Key Responsibilities

  • •Research and implement novel, efficient VLA/WAM architectures for Physical AI models and validate their benefits on AMD platforms.
  • •Build working proof-of-concepts, demonstrate results, and contribute work to the open-source community.
  • •Improve adoption of agentic workflows for optimizing and deploying Physical AI at scale on AMD platforms.
  • •Perform quantitative analysis to influence hardware-software co-design and guide decisions across numerical and hardware design trade-offs.
  • •Publish and promote work at external venues and collaborate with researchers across AMD and industry/academia.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 234,500 - 402,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •PhD or master’s degree or higher in CS, Robotics, EE, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • •Hands-on experience working on embodied AI and robot learning, bridging simulation to VLA/WAM model training.
  • •GPU-accelerated robotics simulation and large-scale parallel-environment training experience (e.g., Isaac Sim/Isaac Lab, MuJoCo/MJX, Warp or Newton, Genesis).
  • •Demonstrated experience training robot policies at scale using reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or VLA/diffusion-policy training, including sim-to-real transfer.
  • •GPU performance-analysis skills to optimize workloads for simulation and RL training, plus strong algorithmic innovation.
