Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage all civil work at substation and transmission line sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and construction schedules.
•Create and supervise earthwork, grading, drainage systems, access roads, cable trenches and foundations for substations and transmission lines.
•Review, interpret and create civil design drawings, technical documents, report discrepancies and provide practical solutions.
•Manage site surveys including geotechnical and ground/LIDAR to assist with transmission line routes and substation layouts.
•Coordinate with electrical, protection, commissioning, planning and project management to resolve interface and constructability issues.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 110,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineering license (P.E.).
•Proven experience with site grading, drainage, roads, earthworks, and substation layout development and transmission access/alignment.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation for civil design and detailing; understanding of substation site planning and integration with electrical layouts.
•Preferred: 10+ years of site civil experience with at least three years as project technical lead/engineer of record; knowledge of IEC, BS, IEEE, ANSI standards.
•Experience with construction supervision, site inspection, commissioning support; knowledge of hydrological analysis/tools or civil 3D/BIM software.
