Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with a globally distributed team to develop and maintain kernel support for a wide range of hardware devices
  • •Work with external silicon and hardware manufacturer delivery teams on Desktop, Laptop, and Server platforms
  • •Diagnose and resolve kernel issues reported by QA, customers, and the community
  • •Enable new Linux kernel features as requested by customers
  • •Submit, review, and apply kernel patches with upstream maintainers

Key Requirements

  • •Proven C programming experience; Python and Bash scripting also highly regarded
  • •Solid background with git and Linux kernel/subsystems knowledge
  • •Experience with kernel patching and debugging; familiarity with upstream processes and release cycles
  • •Strong understanding of device drivers, BSPs, and low-level system engineering; knowledge of ACPI/UEFI desirable
  • •Ability to communicate effectively in English; well-organised and able to deliver to fixed schedules
