Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete the 24-week District Sales Manager Trainee program by completing assigned projects independently.
  • •Coach and support independent agents in achieving business goals and manage territory performance across sales, underwriting, profitability, and agency management.
  • •Recruit, train, and develop new agents and serve as a trusted business partner and ERIE product resource.
  • •Apply product knowledge to assist agent operations, train agents, gather underwriting information, and advise clients on coverages needed to meet insurance goals.
  • •Accompany sales managers and claims/underwriting personnel on agent visitations and respond to policyholder and agent inquiries, including claims-related matters.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required; or associate’s degree plus 2 years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience; or high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience.
  • •Completion of insurance designations such as CIC or CPCU preferred; willingness to pursue insurance designations required.
  • •Successful completion of Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams required to complete the training program.
  • •Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
