Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on procurement and commercial strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals/bids, and chair bid interviews across phased work.
  • •Manage estimating services across the full project lifecycle, including detailed estimates, value engineering, risk assessments, and cost validation with vendors.
  • •Establish and manage cost reporting schedules aligned to delivery milestones, review cost reports and forecasts, and maintain the commercial risk register.
  • •Oversee cost control processes including payment application assessments, change order reviews/advice, and dispute prevention/resolution procedures.
  • •Manage invoicing and final accounting activities, including post-contract audits, account close-outs, and post-contract reviews for lessons learned and handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accreditation or actively working towards it is advantageous.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-scale, multi-phase construction programs.
  • •Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
