Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver lessons aligned to the curriculum, organizing classroom provision and learning resources to create a positive learning environment.
  • •Plan and present sessions for the whole ability range, motivating pupils and embedding the Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.
  • •Assess and track student progress using Target Tracker, using assessment data to influence planning, provision, and intervention; provide feedback to parents at conferences and meetings.
  • •Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy and act decisively to maintain good relationships and appropriate authority.
  • •Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff, work with parents to support students’ outcomes, and contribute to wider school life including curriculum action groups and weekly ECA activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • •Minimum 1–2 years teaching experience.
  • •Clear understanding of the curriculum and ability to plan, prepare, and present lessons for the whole ability range.
  • •Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
  • •A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
