Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related equipment.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; use instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges, and road test vehicles as needed.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation, and conduct pre-/post-trip safety checks.
  • •Document work and upload Repair Orders, parts, and findings using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application, completing DOT forms accurately and on time.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related field experience (or equivalent combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years related experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •OEM training and certifications are preferred; participate in and complete all required company training.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with more than four months remaining), and be at least 21 or older with a valid driver’s license.
