Job Summary

Partner with the Design Manager as the Technical Product Owner to drive the project’s overall technical maturity. Own product-level functional requirements and non-functional constraints (safety, regulatory compliance, reliability), collaborating closely with DM/PMs to set milestones and realistic delivery timelines. Lead complex product-level trade-off discussions across engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, chair technical reviews, and report technical readiness and closure of technical risks.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the primary point of contact between engineering and category teams for product-level technical discussions.
•Own product-level functional requirements and non-functional attributes/constraints including safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability.
•Lead complex product-level trade-off discussions to converge on correct engineering solutions across multiple functional teams.
•Collaborate on development strategy with peers in the project team and ensure complete ownership of systems/sub-systems and clear interfaces.
•Chair technical reviews after each design iteration and periodically report technical readiness, correctness/completeness of requirements/specifications, and closure of technical risks/issues.

Key Requirements

•First degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or electronics engineering, depending on the product/category.
•Minimum 6 years of experience in a product development environment, ideally from early stage through the start of mass production.
•Deep subject matter expertise plus the ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional work-packages for successful project delivery.
•Knowledge of best practices in technical specifications and risk and issue management.
•Demonstrable experience leading engineering trade-off analysis and reviews/discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
