Job Summary

Lead engineering strategy initiatives and cross-business-unit programs that help R&D leaders make faster, data-driven decisions. Own portfolio governance and execution, including planning cycles, option analysis, risk management, and KPI definition (cycle time, cost savings, portfolio mix, and resource allocation). Translate complex engineering and business data into dashboards and executive-ready materials, partner across engineering, product, finance, and operations, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive engineering strategy planning cycles, including problem framing, option analysis, and recommendation proposals for R&D leaders.
•Lead cross-functional programs such as portfolio optimization, cost and efficiency initiatives, and reorg follow-up with clear plans, owners, milestones, and risk management.
•Translate complex engineering and business data into insights, dashboards, and executive-ready materials to support decisions.
•Partner with BU engineering, product, finance, and operations to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and secure decisions on trade-offs.
•Define and track KPIs for strategy and transformation programs (e.g., cycle time, cost savings, portfolio mix, resource allocation) and standardize methods and governance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
•8+ years of experience in R&D, engineering strategy, business/portfolio management, or technical program management.
•Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills with comfort working with complex data, financial models, and engineering metrics.
•Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and driving decisions at the director/VP level.
•Excellent communication and storytelling skills for simplifying complex topics for senior stakeholders.
