Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and negotiate effective contractual arrangements with suppliers to meet cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives while minimising risk.
  • •Lead/support supplier evaluation, negotiations, and finalise supplier agreements, subcontracts, and purchase orders in line with procedures and Delegations of Authority (DOA).
  • •Conduct commercial subcontract meetings to agree contractual changes, ensuring compliance with timeframes, SHE, quality, risk, and budget delivery.
  • •Manage subcontract administration including progress claims, payment valuations, warranties, notices, variations, and contract amendments; monitor and report forecasts of cost and value including preliminaries.
  • •Lead and develop team members and act as the interface with the line of business Commercial Manager to align head contract and subcontract flow-down/flow-up of contract changes.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong commercial and legal skills with demonstrated capability in contract negotiation and contract management.
  • •Completion of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is advantageous.
  • •Prior defence experience is considered a significant advantage.
  • •Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside your immediate team and implement business requirements.
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance, including eligibility for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
