Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and maintain Linux kernel subsystem changes supporting device capabilities and product requirements.
  • •Define kernel-to-userspace boundaries and build interfaces and supporting components for reliable shipped features.
  • •Debug correctness, concurrency, performance, power, and reliability issues using tracing, profiling, instrumentation, and diagnostics.
  • •Develop tests and representative workloads to measure and validate performance, power, and reliability improvements and detect regressions.
  • •Partner with hardware, firmware, platform, and application engineers to deliver maintainable solutions from system requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 230,000 - 385,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Substantial hands-on experience designing, developing, and debugging one or more Linux kernel subsystems (e.g., memory management, storage, networking, power management, scheduling, virtualization).
  • •Proficiency in C for kernel and low-level systems development.
  • •Strong understanding of kernel concurrency, synchronization, memory ownership, and resource lifetimes.
  • •Experience delivering systems capabilities across kernel and userspace, including designing interfaces and diagnosing cross-boundary problems.
  • •Understanding of Linux kernel development principles and practices, including maintainable designs, reviewable patches, compatibility awareness, and regression prevention.
