Key Responsibilities

  • •Work across the full development lifecycle: requirements, design, specification, implementation, and acceptance testing.
  • •Design and implement/model database tables.
  • •Implement and maintain database packages using SQL.
  • •Monitor and enhance Oracle database performance, including patching activities (CPU/PSU) and vulnerability horizon scanning.
  • •Configure Windows/Linux/RHEL operating systems and support production incident troubleshooting with root cause analysis; create bespoke applications and automated deployments using PowerShell.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 58,900

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience administering Oracle Database 19c in Windows Server environments.
  • •Hands-on experience with Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and Patch Set Updates (PSU), including patch assessment, planning, and implementation using OPatch.
  • •Experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • •Knowledge of best practices for user management, roles, and profiles to enable secure, least-privilege access controls.
  • •Systems development lifecycle experience from design through testing; defence domain knowledge is desirable.
