Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as primary in-house legal counsel for labor and employment matters for the APAC and India regions, including HR issues, workers’ compensation, labor relations, employee benefits, employment agreements, and employee policies.
  • •Support HR and business leadership on employee relations and workforce restructuring matters in APAC and India.
  • •Develop and implement employment strategies for the business and the wider RTX organization.
  • •Support collective bargaining and union negotiations, including discussions with labor unions and worker representatives.
  • •Handle labor disputes and related processes including disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, grievance management, and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, factory regulations, standing orders, and statutory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Law degree (LLB/LLM preferred) with 12+ years of experience; must be an India-qualified lawyer.
  • •Thorough understanding of Indian labor and employment laws and working knowledge of employment laws in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
  • •Significant experience as an Employment/Labour Lawyer, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial set up.
  • •Demonstrated experience negotiating with labor unions and managing collective bargaining agreements.
  • •Strong knowledge of Indian and APAC labor laws, Industrial Code, Factories Act, and related regulations.
