Job Summary

Design, implement, and execute automated data tests for a complex multi-vendor data migration transformation program. Work in an agile Data Factory model under a QE Automation Lead to validate data pipelines, transformations, and analytical outputs across ingestion, processing, and consumption layers. Build reusable test scripts using automation frameworks, cover source-to-target reconciliation and schema validation, run suites via CI/CD, and document results to support quality gates and release activities on AWS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement test data governance and quality control measures and design automated data tests for functional/non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
•Execute source-to-target reconciliation, schema validation, and transformation testing for ETL/ELT environments, including bulk and delta validations.
•Identify, document, and track data-related defects with clear evidence, working with data engineers and analysts to diagnose and verify fixes.
•Run automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines and scheduled runs, ensuring test assets are version controlled and aligned to delivery processes.
•Maintain documentation and reporting for test cases, results, and quality metrics, supporting audit/governance/compliance and quality gates for releases.

Key Requirements

•Experience in data engineering testing, including designing and executing automated data tests aligned to functional/non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
•Deep understanding of AWS data pipelines, data warehouse/data lakehouse concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality concepts and testing methodologies.
•Ability to build advanced test automation frameworks from scratch using object-oriented and scripting approaches.
•Breadth across at least two tech stacks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python) with practical OOP knowledge.
•Experience with AWS cloud services (including AWS Glue), Python/PySpark, SQL, YAML configuration, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions (or similar).
