Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Development Operations engineering team (Build Engineers and design/DFM ICs), including hiring, coaching, goal-setting, and raising quality, throughput, and schedule performance
  • •Own design for manufacturability from concept through fab, including CAD work, GD&T, design reviews, and design changes that reduce cost, complexity, and cycle time
  • •Own fixtures, tooling, workholding, and mechanical catalog items through raw material and handoff
  • •Act as technical decision maker for the shop engineering stack, including deciding what to make, how to make it, and when to push designs back to RE
  • •Drive NCR, root cause, and corrective action on non-conforming product and support build documentation, vendor/supply-chain integration, and look-ahead recommendations

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline
  • •2+ years leading a product development, manufacturing engineering, or project team
  • •3+ years hands-on design, analysis, build, and/or manufacturing of mechanical or electromechanical hardware
  • •2+ years of CAD experience (NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
  • •Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) including pushing back on over-constrained CAD
