Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and interpret NDT requirements and customer/industry specifications; write NDT procedures to meet requirements.
  • •Lead and administer the Personnel Qualification and Certification program for qualifying NDT operators; review/approve certifications from outside testing sources.
  • •Interface with customers and third-party auditors on technical NDT questions and provide training, troubleshooting, and guidance to support operations.
  • •Proactively improve and standardize NDT processes, equipment, and instrumentation; implement process controls (SPC) and stabilize processes using statistical methods.
  • •Lead internal/external NDT audits, including third-party audits such as customer audits, AS9100, and Nadcap; maintain formal documentation and implement preventive maintenance and calibrations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma plus 10 years of NDT experience, or a four-year college degree with 7 years of NDT experience.
  • •Be qualified and certifiable to NDT Level III in the UT method per SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410, with 5+ years of related experience.
  • •Thorough knowledge of NDT system management, NDT audit/corrective action processes, root cause problem solving, and UT/ET equipment and suppliers.
  • •Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) methods.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to work safely and operate a computer workstation with relevant software.
