Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end foundational capabilities (data model/API through control plane, runtime, SDK/CLI, and console) and migrate live systems onto them.
  • •Design enterprise primitives (organizations/sub-accounts, groups, roles, service identities) and connect them to directories via federation/provisioning (SSO, SCIM).
  • •Build multi-tenant authorization, policy enforcement, and audit systems that satisfy security requirements.
  • •Ensure correct usage metering, spend controls, and billing at scale so customers can reconcile results.
  • •Implement customer-managed encryption keys and deploy/run Fireworks in customers’ own clouds, addressing data residency and regional isolation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years building and operating production backend or distributed systems at scale.
  • •Strong server-side engineering skills in Go, Python, C++, TypeScript (or similar), with willingness to work outside a primary layer.
  • •Experience designing APIs and data models other teams build on, evolving them under live traffic without breaking callers.
  • •Hands-on depth in at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including IAM/workload identity, KMS, object storage, and VPC networking.
  • •Track record owning ambiguous, cross-team workstreams from requirements through production, with willingness to work directly with customers.
