Job Summary

Lead and deliver complex geotechnical projects across investigation, design and construction observation in Napier, with flexibility to be based in Napier, Taupō or Gisborne. Provide expert technical advice on roads, landslides, river scour and foundations; drive NZ standards compliance, client relationships and growth opportunities while guiding proposals and team development.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and deliver complex geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and construction observation
•Provide expert technical advice across roads and infrastructure, landslides and slope stability, river scour, and residential/commercial foundations
•Conduct and oversee site investigations, analysis, reporting and design
•Undertake peer reviews and ensure compliance with NZ standards and industry best practice
•Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
•Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) either Geotechnical or Civil
•10+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering consultancy
•Strong experience in project delivery and management
•Deep knowledge of NZ standards, legislation and construction practices
