Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and qualify new process equipment; maintain measurement systems and gauges.
  • •Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line, including tool downtime, yield, and quality, and drive actions to prevent repeat issues.
  • •Design and execute planned process experiments, collect/analyze data, and report results from a pilot manufacturing environment.
  • •Develop and maintain drawings, process specifications, standard operating procedures, and process control plans.
  • •Interface with internal associates and supplier representatives, communicate cross-functionally, and develop/training for technicians and production associates.

Salary: USD 68,800 - 98,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering (or similar technical) discipline plus 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of manufacturing technical work experience.
  • •Bachelor’s degree (engineering or similar technical) plus 2 years of relevant technical experience, or 1 year of experience as an Associate Development Engineer or Shift Manufacturing Engineer at First Solar.
  • •Experience executing Statistical Data Analysis and SPC concepts.
  • •Structured problem solving using DMAIC, 8D, and/or DOE.
  • •Knowledge of metrology and the ability to write manufacturing documentation with strong oral and written communication skills.
