Job Summary

Join the Compute Infrastructure team building cloud-native compute infrastructure for large-scale AI and LLM workloads. You’ll help improve performance, scalability, and resilience across Kubernetes-based platforms, optimize resource utilization and pod lifecycle monitoring, and contribute to resource management and scheduling tasks. Work with world-class engineers and open-source ecosystems (CNCF/SIG), develop documentation and runbooks, and collaborate globally to scale infrastructure for AI services.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze and support enhancements to hyper-scale AI infrastructure platforms to improve performance, scalability, and resilience for traditional and LLM workloads.
•Contribute to Kubernetes performance optimization, including monitoring pod lifecycle, tracking resource utilization, and analyzing system behavior under varying load conditions.
•Lead small-scale development tasks for resource management and scheduling in Kubernetes clusters, such as testing configuration updates and automating resource allocation workflows.
•Participate in team discussions on AI infrastructure design and optimization strategies, proposing solutions using academic knowledge and personal projects.
•Develop and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and process guides.

Key Requirements

•Completing or recently completed a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a strong publication record a plus.
•Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, Go, C++, Rust, or Java.
•Strong understanding of at least one area: Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, high-performance networking systems, or developing large-scale software systems.
•Hands-on project experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes through internships, coursework, or personal projects.
•Experience developing or contributing to cloud-native open-source projects.
