Job Summary

Design and deliver enterprise-grade data pipelines and data assets for both real-time and batch ingestion, transformation, storage, and governance. Lead end-to-end analysis, architecture, and implementation while ensuring security, privacy, compliance, scalability, performance, and reliability. Build reusable modules and frameworks with hands-on development, iterate via proofs of concept, and champion GenAI/agentic AI integration across data workflows. Mentor junior data engineers and establish engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee the full data lifecycle (acquisition, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance) for both streaming and batch data pipelines and assets.
•Lead analysis, design, development, and implementation of initiatives with end-to-end ownership to deliver data business capabilities.
•Ensure data security, privacy, governance, and compliance by developing auditable policies and procedures.
•Hands-on build scalable, reusable modules, core frameworks, and automation tools; develop iterative products via proofs of concept.
•Champion GenAI/agentic AI adoption in existing data pipeline workflows and establish best practices for development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and alerting.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree (or 6+ with an advanced degree, or 4+ with a PhD).
•Extensive experience as a Data Engineer with deep expertise building and maintaining complex Big Data pipelines (ETL, batch, streaming) from inception to delivery.
•Expertise in at least one programming language (preferably Java or Scala) and a scripting language (preferably Python).
•Strong experience with large-scale distributed data processing using Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Hive.
•Experience with SQL and RDBMS such as MySQL or Postgres, plus orchestration with Apache Airflow and exposure to AWS or GCP.
