Oversee preconstruction estimating for public and private road projects, owning bid strategy and proposal accuracy. Key Responsibilities

•Oversee estimating activities for public and private road construction projects, ensuring proposal accuracy and competitiveness.
•Manage bid notifications and advertising schedules, and analyze competitor activity and client engagement to guide bidding decisions.
•Review bid opportunities with senior management and perform quantity takeoffs; evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for pricing and compliance.
•Build and maintain project setups in HCSS for awarded contracts and support field execution logistics for project managers.
•Monitor and report Margin Loss Tracking (MLT) and collaborate with operations and project managers to analyze bid-versus-build performance.

Key Requirements

•Minimum an associate’s degree; bachelor’s preferred or relevant experience.
•3+ years’ experience estimating or project management for civil, infrastructure, or related construction projects.
•Experience in DOT, heavy highway, FAA, paving, or milling is a plus.
•Familiarity with construction specifications and estimating tools is required.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, Paydirt, Primavera) is preferred.
