Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the egg truck driver with picking up eggs at farms and delivering supplies to farms and customers.
  • •Help load and unload egg/chick trucks and assist the chick truck driver with loading/unloading by-product and empty chick boxes for return to the hatchery.
  • •At each collection site, show up into uniforms, clean and disinfect equipment.
  • •Attend driver safety meetings and complete required DOT reports and inspection forms.
  • •Maintain farm and processing material inventory records, take lab samples, and load bad pallets for disposal.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (or 18 months for layoff/child or elder care).
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL experience operating a class 8 commercial motor vehicle with a clean safety record.
  • •Must be willing to work in a biosecure environment, including showering/changing clothing and footwear before entering facilities and following biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines.
  • •Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements, including safe lifting techniques and regular lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • •Must attend driver safety meetings and complete required DOT reports and inspection forms.
