Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, develop, implement, and continually tune detection rules and correlation logic across SIEM and EDR to identify and remediate threats.
  • •Map detection gaps to MITRE ATT&CK and use threat intelligence to focus on cloud, containerized, and payment systems.
  • •Lead high-severity incident response: containment, eradication, recovery, and thorough log analysis, forensics triage, and timeline reconstruction.
  • •Design and maintain SOAR automation playbooks and scripting-based tools to streamline triage and incident workflows.
  • •Own SOC KPIs (MTTD, MTTR, false positive rate), mentor team members, and run simulation exercises to validate SOC readiness and playbooks.

Key Requirements

  • •1.5+ years of hands-on experience in a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, or detection engineering role.
  • •Expert-level proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel) including advanced rule creation, custom parsing, and dashboard development.
  • •Strong scripting skills in Python for security automation and data manipulation.
  • •Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, common network protocols, and security appliances (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxies).
  • •Ability to independently prioritize and drive complex projects; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
