Key Responsibilities

  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • •Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans at design milestones.
  • •Review design and contractor submissions with the design services team and general contractor, and prepare written comments including executive summaries.
  • •Coordinate cost information and support cost estimate updates with status inputs gathered from the general contractor and project manager.
  • •Perform quantity surveying, valuations, cost checks, and manage cost variances, contingency, and change control processes, including producing monthly cost reports and supporting final account negotiations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accreditation or working toward it (preferred).
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects with medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, plus excellent communication skills.
