Key Responsibilities

  • •Welcome and acknowledge Foundation Room members, executives, and VIPs to build appreciation and patronage
  • •Prepare and serve beverages and food promptly using standard recipes and venue specifications
  • •Suggestively sell beverages and menu items and suggest wines that complement specific foods
  • •Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance training and House of Blues alcohol policies
  • •Perform opening/running/closing duties including guest checks, payments, cash pull/check-out, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards

Key Requirements

  • •Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification (or equivalent) and/or required state/county licensee certification
  • •Minimum 2 years’ experience bartending in an upscale dining and nightlife establishment
  • •Ability to up-sell and offer food and drink suggestions to guests
  • •Articulate vocabulary and adapt to socialize with the current audience
  • •Cash handling experience and strong working knowledge of all beverages
