Job Summary

Provide on-site supervision of Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) operations, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, QC, and delivery of services to customers. Serve as the lead engineer on most jobs, ensure customer data accuracy and timeliness, and consult clients on LWD topics such as mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, and drilling tendencies. Test tools and equipment before/during/after jobs and accurately complete required reports and databases.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise on-site LWD processes, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, QC, and customer service delivery.
•Serve as the lead engineer on most jobs and ensure service quality standards.
•Ensure presented data is accurate and timely, and provide expected/needed data and possible problems to the customer.
•Perform technical consultation covering mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.
•Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify/correct operational problems; complete required forms, databases, and reports.

Key Requirements

•Completion of high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of field experience in M/LWD.
•Completion of the basic M/LWD training program.
•Successfully passed company tests (or met task guideline requirements).
•Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well-site data.
•Possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
