Key Responsibilities

  • •Become an integral member of a Finance team working with areas such as Issuer, Merchant, Network, Corporate Planning (FP&A), Controllership, or Pricing.
  • •Take ownership of a business-critical project that addresses real-world challenges and supports strategic decision-making.
  • •Analyze financial and operational data in the P&L, including metrics such as Billings, Acquisitions, Revenue, and Expenses, to uncover insights.
  • •Utilize generative AI technologies to improve productivity and support business objectives.
  • •Partner with stakeholders across Finance and the broader business to develop data-driven recommendations and present them to senior Finance leaders.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program with a predicted 2:1 degree (or international equivalent).
  • •Graduation date between June–September 2028.
  • •Interest in American Express and the payments industry, revenue generation, the Closed-Loop Model, and Blue Box Values.
  • •Analytical skills to generate hypotheses, work with large datasets, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • •Ability to leverage AI tools through effective prompting and to use Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL to drive analyses.
