Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the design, development, fabrication, assembly, and qualification of manufacturing and metrology equipment.
  • •Participate in equipment installation, startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • •Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues to improve performance and reliability.
  • •Collect, analyze, and present engineering data; support continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, throughput, yield, reliability, and cost reduction.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in engineering (or similar technical discipline) with 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of technical work experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • •Bachelor’s/master’s/Ph.D. in engineering or a similar technical discipline, with no experience required (experience+degree preferred).
  • •Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using structured problem-solving methods such as DMAIC.
  • •Ability to collect, analyze, and present engineering data to support project objectives and decision making.
