Job Summary

Own the Security Contracts workstream end-to-end within Plaid’s Security GRC team, driving fast, consistent security contract reviews across customer MSAs, DPAs, and addenda. Review and negotiate security clauses, build scalable playbooks and workflows (including AI-assisted processes), and reduce deal friction with pattern analysis, KPIs, dashboards, and regular reporting. Also support customer questionnaires and external audit calls as a security subject-matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead security contract reviews across customer MSAs, DPAs, security addenda, and security exhibits to define defensible security positions for Legal negotiations.
•Design and own end-to-end Security Contracts program infrastructure, including intake processes, tiered SLAs, runbooks, and handoff protocols.
•Analyze recurring security contract asks across deals, recommend improvements to close gaps, and codify standard language to reduce future negotiation cycles.
•Accelerate deals by joining customer and data partner calls as a security subject-matter expert to shorten review cycles.
•Define KPIs, build dashboards, report program health metrics, and scale AI-assisted workflows for assurance throughput; support customer questionnaires and external audit calls.

Key Requirements

•Review security provisions in customer MSAs, DPAs, and security addenda; identify unacceptable clauses and provide actionable positions for Legal negotiations.
•Deep familiarity with security clause types (e.g., incident notification windows, audit rights, encryption requirements, subprocessor obligations, data retention, penetration testing).
•Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, GLBA, GDPR/CCPA, and NIST 800-53.
•Experience building security trust enablement programs with intake processes, tiered SLAs, escalation paths, and runbooks.
•Demonstrated AI fluency to build and scale AI-assisted workflows for contract review, questionnaires, clause library maintenance, pattern analysis, and reporting.
