Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute global supply agreements and sourcing strategy for an assigned Falcon/Dragon commodity.
  • •Own continuity of supply from concept through end of life, including coverage, need dates, dual-source planning, sub-tier risk, and escalation for delivery/quality risk.
  • •Lead RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, evaluate bids, present sourcing recommendations, and close award.
  • •Negotiate price, payment terms, capacity, lead time, and contract vehicles; manage purchase orders to hold cost targets without breaking delivery or quality.
  • •Build commodity expertise and roadmaps aligned to future rate/design changes; define KPIs and drive process improvements based on data while partnering cross-functionally.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree and 4+ years, or bachelor’s degree and 6+ years, or 10+ years in one or more of engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material/production planning, operations/supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling.
  • •Experience managing a domestic and international production supply base through rate (not only one-offs).
  • •Deep technical-commodity experience in technical procurement (e.g., precision machining, raw material, tube bending, valves, mechanisms, welding, outside processing, or similar aerospace/automotive hardware).
  • •Proven track record owning a commodity book, negotiating preferred pricing, and delivering cost, coverage, and delivery results.
  • •Comfort with RFX processes and converting them into long-term agreements or volume buys, including planning purchases of commodity hardware and third-party services.
