Key Responsibilities

  • •Support rehabilitation and disability inclusive health activities aligned to WHO strategy and monitoring, including emergency interventions contributing to longer-term health system strengthening.
  • •Establish partnerships with INGOs, NGOs, OPDs, and local organizations, and monitor and evaluate project implementation to ensure alignment with WHO policy.
  • •Coordinate with the Ministry of Health, other government ministries, UN agencies, donors, NGOs, professional associations, and civil society through working groups, coordination meetings, and steering committees.
  • •Monitor country health needs, priorities, and resources; provide updates to the unit lead and recommend coordination mechanisms and improvements for the rehab program and emergency response planning.
  • •Manage information and reporting, including ongoing need assessments, response planning, and data management/analysis for operational activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, public health, medicine, international development, project management, or a related field.
  • •At least two years of experience in public health, health systems, development cooperation, humanitarian response, rehabilitation, disability inclusion, program management, or related work.
  • •Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including government institutions, UN agencies, donors, civil society, OPDs, and implementing partners.
  • •Experience supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of health or development programmes.
  • •Expert analytical and writing skills, including demonstrated ability to manage uncertainties in a rapidly changing environment.
