Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead onsite deployment workstreams for data center builds, expansions, hardware rollouts, rack buildouts, and cluster deployments.
  • •Validate vendor and contractor work against DigitalOcean design standards, including rack elevations, cabling plans, labeling requirements, and deployment procedures.
  • •Verify physical readiness (power feeds, redundancy, load balancing, rack layout, hardware placement, cable routing, and infrastructure documentation) and validate front-end/back-end cabling with port mapping, LLDP output, and link checks.
  • •Run and interpret LLDP checks, automation scripts, tooling outputs, logs, and hardware diagnostics; identify miswires, optic issues, link inconsistencies, hardware faults, and provisioning blockers; drive timely resolution.
  • •Coordinate contractors and cross-functional partners, maintain and improve deployment runbooks and validation workflows, update DCTrack/NetBox requirements and asset records, and train engineers and site teams.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years deploying, operating, or supporting infrastructure in large-scale data center, cloud, lab, networking, or technical operations environments.
  • •Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (compute, networking, storage, GPU hardware, cabling, power, rack layouts, and physical deployment standards).
  • •Experience deploying and troubleshooting high-density compute platforms and GPU infrastructure, with ability to validate and correct deployment issues.
  • •Strong Linux knowledge and command-line experience, including familiarity with bash scripting, logs, and diagnostic workflows.
