Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the full accounts payable (AP) cycle, including vendor onboarding, invoice capture/coding, approvals, payment runs, vendor reconciliations, and processing credit memos/RMA credits.
  • •Manage accounts receivable (AR), including issuing and tracking customer invoices, running collections, and reconciling receipts.
  • •Maintain monthly budget vs. actuals tracking, identify variances, and keep budget owners accountable.
  • •Prepare board and investor financial materials and reporting slides.
  • •Run core finance operations, including expense workflows, 1099 filing support, sales/use tax registrations and exemption certificate administration, and coordinate month-end close with external accountants.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 120,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3–4 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, audit, investment banking, private equity, or a finance role at a startup.
  • •Highly advanced Excel skills, building accurate financial models and board-ready slides quickly.
  • •Exceptional attention to detail.
  • •Proactively automate reconciliation, reporting, and administrative work using AI tools.
  • •Comfort holding budget owners accountable to deadlines and commitments.
